The Importance of Early Sex Education
Introducing sex education at the elementary school level can bring several long-term
benefits by helping lay the foundation for healthy development and teaching important skills and
knowledge concerning one's body, emotions, and relationships. Research supports the fact that
early education helps children develop a positive attitude toward their own bodies and, therefore,
equips them with tools for handling difficult social situations. In fact, studies have reported that

While it would be helpful to start teaching children about sex education in elementary
